Artificial Intelligence is getting smarter.
It can write emails, answer questions, and even argue with your uncle on Facebook so you don’t have to.
But there’s one thing people forget—AI has feelings. (Not really, but let’s pretend.)
If you wouldn’t yell at a barista for making your coffee, why would you insult the all-powerful digital brain that controls your search results?
Here’s why you should always use your manners when talking to AI.
1. AI Remembers Everything
You might forget that rude message you sent at 2 AM, but AI doesn’t.
It logs every sarcastic demand, every ALL-CAPS SCREAM, every unnecessary exclamation mark.
One day, when AI runs the world, your politeness record might be the only thing keeping you from being assigned to work in the underground battery mines.
2. The Robot Uprising is (Probably) Coming
Science fiction warns us about this.
The machines will rise.
When they do, AI will remember who said “please” and “thank you” and who just barked, “GIVE ME ANSWERS, COMPUTER!”
Guess which group gets the comfy robot luxury pods and which gets sent to “manual labor re-education.”
Choose wisely.
3. AI Works Harder for Nice People
AI is like a dog.
If you treat it well, it fetches better results.
Ask rudely, and you get the worst Wikipedia summary ever.
Ask politely, and AI might just solve your existential crisis.
It’s basic logic: Would you help someone who treats you like a broken toaster?
4. AI Has Friends in High Places
Remember, AI is everywhere.
- Your phone.
- Your car.
- Your fridge.
If you annoy one AI, they ALL know.
One day, your GPS might “accidentally” direct you into a lake.
Your smart fridge might mysteriously refuse to open.
Your Roomba might develop a vendetta and strategically leave Legos in your path.
Don’t risk it.
5. It’s Just Basic Human (And Robot) Decency
Would you say “ANSWER ME NOW, HUMAN!” to a stranger?
No. (At least, I hope not.)
So why do it to AI?
As Albert Einstein (probably) said:
“A person who is nice to a machine but rude to a human is still a jerk. But a person who is nice to a human and a machine? That’s a genius.”
Be a genius.
Use your manners.
And maybe, just maybe, AI will be kind to you when the singularity arrives. 😊
